Digital Library Card
In today’s world, businesses ranging from your local coffee shop to major retailers offer their customers the ability to use their mobile devices in place of rewards cards, key tags and other identification cards. Why should your public library be any different? We all know that patrons have a tendency to misplace or forget their library cards from time to time, but it’s a lot less likely that they’ll forget their mobile phone! CapiraMobile© lets your patrons store a digital version of their library card right on their mobile device.

After the initial authentication process, no internet connection is required for patrons to use this feature on their mobile devices. Libraries can choose to fully customize the way digital library cards display on screen, including any custom messages or data they wish to display. For libraries using systems that include patron photographs, this module can interface with the photo database and display them on the patron’s device. CapiraMobile© can generate the following types of barcodes:
Code 3 of 9
Extended Code 3 of 9
Interleaved 2 of 5
Industrial 2 of 5
